Pořád se divím, jak ten čas letí! Není to dávno, co jsem se uprostřed měsíce obávala, že pro vás nebudu mít žádné zajímavé písničky. A potom dřív než se naděju, březen končí a já jsem tu zas se svým výběrem melodií. Některé jsou nové a čerstvé, některé právě naopak. Ale všechny nějak odrážejí, jak jsem se tento uplynulý měsíc cítila. Nejsem si zcela jistá, že kromě představení interpretů to budu nějak komentovat. Zdá se mi, že většinou ty písničky říkají to, co mají říct, ve svém textu.

I keep wondering how the time flies by so quickly! Not that long ago, it was the middle of the month and I was worried I wouldn't have any interesting songs for you. And then before I know it, March is over and I'm here with another selection of fine tunes. Some of them are very new and fresh, some of them are the very opposite. But they all reflect how I felt this past month. I'm not even sure I will make some comments, other than introducing the artists. Because the songs pretty much say what they need to say in the lyrics.
A opět je tu jeden z těch chytáků: česká písnička s velmi dobrým textem, který se jen těžko dá převést do angličtiny. Je to založené na idiomu, který má naštěstí pro mně anglický ekvivalent. V zásadě je to o tom, že v životě nemáme na růžích ustláno. což je konec konců dobře. I když musíme překonávat těžkosti, které nám život posílá do cesty, je to dobře. To jen tak v kostce. Nechtějte, prosím, abych se to snažila nějak rozvést.

This is where it gets tricky again: A Czech song with very good lyrics that are hard to transform into english. The song is based on an idiom that, luckily for me, has an english equivalent. Basically I'd say it's about life not being a bed of roses. Which in the end is good. Even though you have to take on the hardships that come your way, it's good. That's it in a nutshell and don't make me elaborate.

 

Následující dvě věci: jedna je o tom, jak se cítím slabá a ta druhá mi dodává sílu, abych se dokázala probíjet tím, co mi život hodí do cesty. První z nich je trochu starší: Strong od Robbieho Williamse. Druhá je poměrně nedávná věcička: Titanium, kterou má na svědomí David Guetta, a hlasem písně je zpěvačka Sia. As for the next two tracks: one is about how weak I feel and the other is empowering and makes me feel strong, so I could battle through anything life throws at me. The first one is a little bit older: Strong by Robbie Williams. The second one, quite recent: Titanium by David Guetta, featuring the vocal of Sia.

 

 

Nemusím přece něco říkat o každé písničce, že ne? Tohle je I Need You Now od Ollyho Murse. to je ten, co jsem ho tu nedávno představovala. Honestly, do I have to say something about each of the songs? no, I don't. This is I Need You Now by Olly Murs. the guy that I've introduced here recently.

 

Poslední kus je pravděpodobně nejnovější, co tu dneska máme, čerstvě rovnou z rádia. Je to poslední singl mladého britského hip-hopového dua s názvem Rizzle Kicks, jejichž hvezda omaličku stoupá. Moc zajímavá věc. Traveller's Chant. Oh, the last one is probably the newest track on here, fresh from the radio. It's the latest single by a young British hip hop duo called Rizzle Kicks, who have been slowly rising to fame. Very interesting stuff. This is Traveller's Chant.
